Knowledge Development covers the principles, concepts and terms you need to know for dive safety and enjoyment. During the Confined Water Dives, you learn and practice scuba skills in a pool or water with pool-like conditions. Course/Class Description
The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include: Self rescue, Recognizing and managing stress in other divers, Emergency management and equipment, Rescuing panicked divers, and Rescuing unresponsive divers.

Class runs on two sequential Thursday nights from 6:30pm-9pm (intro & academics only) followed by Rescue Diver skills practice in a pool & a series of Open Water dive exercises at a later date to be scheduled with the class.

The American Red Cross lifeguard training and certification program is the first step to get hired as a certified Red Cross lifeguard. Our detailed training includes both testing of hands-on skills as well as a written test. Upon successful completion of the Lifeguarding course, you will receive a Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification, which is valid for two years and is accepted nationwide. This course has a pre-requisite skill check conducted on Friday night that is required to participate in the remainder of the course. This coure has a blended learning component which is done online and will take the participant approximately 7.5 hours to complete prior to the first night of class.
