Knowledge Development covers the principles, concepts and terms you need to know for dive safety and enjoyment. During the Confined Water Dives, you learn and practice scuba skills in a pool or water with pool-like conditions. To complete training you practice, apply and demonstrate what you learn during four Open Water Dives at a local dive site.

Course/Class Description
The American Red Cross lifeguard training and certification program is the first step to get hired as a certified Red Cross lifeguard. Our detailed training includes both testing of hands-on skills as well as a written test. Upon successful completion of the Lifeguarding course, you will receive a Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification, which is valid for two years and is accepted nationwide. This course has a pre-requisite skill check conducted on Friday night that is required to participate in the remainder of the course. This coure has a blended learning component which is done online and will take the participant approximately 7.5 hours to complete prior to the first night of class.
